ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Tsukinokatsura
Tsukinokatsura was founded in 1675 by the Masuda family in Fushimi, one of the eleven wards of the city of Kyoto, Kyoto Prefecture. Over the centuries, their sakes have been praised by classical Japanese writers and poets, earning them the nickname “the literary sake”. Tokubee Masuda is the 14th generation owner, and an ardent proponent of tradition and innovation. His father, Keiichi Masuda, started a revolution with the commercialization of aged sake “Koshu 古酒”. In 1964, he also reintroduced the Nigori style of sake , which had not been produced for more than 200 years.
