50% Macabeo, 40% Xarel-lo and 10% Ugni Blanc. The grapes come from Bernal Valley, in Queretaro, North-Central Mexico. The unique geo-climate conditions there translates to high quality wines.
This sparkling wine is made with a second fermentation in the bottle and 18 to 24 months of aging on the lees in the cellar. Dosage: 5.3 g/l. 11.5% Alcohol.
A lively sparkling bursting with aromas of Meyer lemon, jasmine, pear, and hints of brioche. The palate is fresh and dry with notes of white flowers, apples, bright acidity and a persistent finish.
About the Producer

A collaborative effort between La Competencia Imports and Freixenet de Mexico, El Bajío is exclusively available in the U.S. The goal is simple, craft a collection of wines that are easy and enjoyable to drink at price points that won't break the bank.
The initial line-up features two affordably delicious Sparkling wines, a Brut & Brut Rose. These are complimented by two very approachable, value-friendly still wines, a red made exclusively from Marselan and a Viognier. The winemaker is Lluis Raventos Llopart.
