Located on the right bank of the Rhône just 35 minutes north of Avignon, the vineyards of Château de Marjolet cover 80 hectares: 60 hectares in the commune of Gaujac, where the family house is located and 20 hectares in the commune of Laudun. They are planted with Grenache noir, Syrah and Cinsault for the rosé and red wines; Roussane and Viognier for the whites. The vines average 40 years old.

Since the 13th century, the Pontauds have been farmers and cultivators in the commune of Gaujac. Jacques, Jean-Jacques, Bénony, Virgile, Jean, Bernard have succeeded each other and each one has contributed over time to the expansion, transformation and modernization of the farm. Bernard founded Château de Marjolet in 1978. Today, the estate is managed by his children, Laurent and Sophie.

Farming practices: The vineyard is certified HEV (High Environmental Value) level 3. It is is managed in a sustainable way, with the greatest respect for the environment.
