“Mezcla” means “mix” in Spanish. This “mezcla” of Colombard, Grillo and Catarratto from two organically farmed vineyards underwent native yeast fermentation resulting in a fragrant, fresh and succulent white to enjoy all summer long.

Colombard comes from ‘El Carillo’ vineyard of dry-farmed old bush vines. Grillo and Cataratto are sourced from the ‘Manaz’ vineyard which sits right besides the winery on the valley floor. It has a high percentage of sand, and a little bit of clay producing wines with elegance and elevated aromatics.

About the Producer

TRESOMM is an all-organic wine project started in 2017 and spearheaded by former Sommelier Taylor Grant. She developed a deep connection to the region of Baja California during a visit with friends in 2017. The group was particularly captivated by their experience at Bodegas Magoni, where they met Julio, the son-in-law of winemaker Camillo Magoni, and indulged in delightful wine tastings. Filled with laughter and numerous glasses of wine, they eagerly arranged another visit to meet Camillo.

Originally from Valtellina, Italy, Camillo is a pioneer of the Baja wine industry.  He moved to the Valle in 1965 and over the years has planted his vineyards with indigenous European varietals.

Taylor partners with the Magoni family to produce distinctive wines from organically farmed varieties including Grignoliño, Falanghina, and Touriga Nacional.
