Lupi Reali – Montepulciano d’Abruzzo
“Lupi Reali” means Royal Wolves. A warm and broad red with powerful but very fine tanins. Notes of black and red berries, and dried flowers. 12.5% alcohol.
The grapes are able to reach the full maturation typical of warm regions, yet maintaining a fresh aromatic profile. They are harvested by hand, destemmed and pressed. The must is transferred directly into small stainless steel tanks. Fermentation occurs for about 10-15 days at controlled temperature, followed by 4 months of aging.
About the Producer
“Lupi Reali” is a brand created by Passione Natura, a project launched in 2007 to help the small growers of Abruzzo. Located in Central Italy, nearby the Apennine mountain chain, the vineyards are farmed organically.
