About the Producer

GUANAMÉ comes from the mixing of two names: Guanajuato (one of the 32 states that make up the Federal Entities of Mexico) and Mexico. It honors the land it comes from: the Pájaro Azul Vineyards, located in the Jaral de Berrios Valley, San Felipe, north of Guanajuato. A land of great history, originally home to the Huachichiles, a nomadic ethnic group.

Guanamé is a family winery founded in 2011 by the Torres family, third and fourth generation farmers and ranchers. Great wine lovers, they recognized the potential of the land and of its microclimate. They planted the first Syrah vines at 1800m of elevation. In the following years, they added Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo and Muscatel varieties.

The labels are inspired by the cubist movement and Picasso's paintings.
