Sourced from the Claypool family’s organic vineyard in Lodi.
The fruiting arms of the originally planted Zinfandel vines were chopped off, Counoise bud wood was T-budded in 2016 and a movement was born. Sandy loam and a warmer Mediterranean climate define this small but mighty site. Owners, Dave and Tally Claypool tend the vines by hand, and are involved in every activity that happens in the vineyard.
Crafted using carbonic maceration and aged on the lees in neutral Burgundy barrels for one year. 11.3% ABV.
