70% Merlot, 15% Mexican Nebbiolo, 10% Syrah. The Syrah and the Nebbiolo are aged in second use American oak barrels for a minimum of 8 months.

On the nose, it reveals a captivating combination of delicate wild-flowers, strawberry jam, ripe fig, and subtle notes of bitter cocoa. The tannins, smooth yet with a defined presence, provide structure and balance on the palate. It is an easy-drinking wine with excellent breadth and a marked imprint of the ‘terroir’ of the Valle de Guadalupe, reflecting its uniqueness and distinctive character. 13.5%Alc/Vol

Nestled in the heart of the renowned Valle de Guadalupe, Vinos Pasatiempo is born from a deep-rooted passion for winemaking and a commitment to the unique terroir of their 17-acre estate, “Refugio.” Owner Ronald Buhler embarked on this journey in 2005, a time when fewer than twenty wineries dotted this now world-class wine region. Vinos Pasatiempo, builds upon the pioneering spirit of his first project, Quinta Monasterio, which began bottling wines in 2006.

Vinos Pasatiempo believes that exceptional wines begin in the vineyard. That’s why they exclusively use grapes grown on their family estate, ensuring every bottle reflects the distinct character of Refugio. Under the expert care of esteemed agronomist Jose Manuel Fernandez, the vines are meticulously cultivated and harvested to produce fruit of outstanding quality. This dedication allows them to craft award-winning wines designed to delight even the most discerning palates. Depending on the label, the wines are brought to life at two different locations by talented winemakers, each bringing their unique expertise to the final bottle.

With a production of 2,200 cases, the focus is on quality and on expressing the best of Valle de Guadalupe in every glass.
