The parcels for this rosé are always the same, but the combination is always different. For the 2025, it is: Syrah 28% – Grenache 18% – Cinsault 14% – Clairette 14% – Rolle 10% – Carignan 10% – Mourvèdre 6%.

The wine was produced through direct pressing, partially destemmed. Certain varieties went through a cold maceration for 8 to 24 hours before being pressed. Cold clarification and natural fermentation between 64 and 73F. Gravitational work in the cellar as often as possible.

“Corail” is the domaine’s rosé and it has classic Provençal characteristics. Coral color with a very expressive nose of sweet pea, pink grapefruit, white pepper. The palate is lively with notes of crushed raspberries and more red fruits on the finish. 12% Alcohol. 110,000 bottles produced.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Producer: Château de Roquefort

Margaux Gentile had big shoes to fill when she took the reins from Raimond de Villeneuve at Chateau de Roquefort. She had worked under Raimond for a number of years before he sold the property in 2022. She was more than up for the challenge and has instituted changes like night harvesting, bringing the wines of Roquefort to new peaks of quality.

Raimond De Villeneuve had returned to his family property in 1995 and made his first vintage under the Château name in 1998. He introduced biodynamic farming and intense requirements for the finest plant material, which he sourced from the greatest vineyards throughout the Mediterranean. An open-minded winemaker and taster, Raimond strived for quality and never shied away from experimentation.

Château de Roquefort features an impressively beautiful biodynamic vineyard situated in an amphitheater with a unique microclimate, just over the ridge from Bandol. With an altitude of over 1000° and afternoon Mediterranean breezes, the grapes exhibit remarkable freshness and phenolic maturity, and ultimately more complexity than typical Provençal wines. The Roquefort wines, especially the Rosé, have regularly bested some of the best known domains of the region.

Farming/vinification practices: Certified Organic, biodynamic practices. The different varieties are always co-fermented.

“… the wines perfectly combine ample and intense fruit with a rich and silky body. The wines of Roquefort possess a hedonistic character that will make you immediately rejoice.”
