Clif Family Winery and Farm is an extension of Gary Erickson and Kit Crawford’s values, a homage to their farming roots, and a way to give back to people, planet and community. Nestled in the rolling hills of Napa Valley, Gary and Kit, co-creators of Clif Bar, let their love of small batch wine and food grow into a 100- acre organic vineyard, vegetable garden and fruit orchard. As a certified B Corp, each product promotes organic and sustainable agriculture, fair labor practices, and a dedication to creating a better future. Clif Family farms 100 acres of organically farmed vineyards in the Howell Mountain and Oak Knoll District AVA’s of the Napa Valley. Their estate vineyards hold CCOF and Napa Green certifications, reflecting their commitment to environmental responsibility. Their winemaker, Laura Barrett, follows a vineyard-first approach to craft elegant, beautifully balanced wines. Her wines are a timeless expression of Napa’s potential.

Here are just a few ways we put our values into action:
- We implement 100% organic and regenerative practices across our estate vineyards and farm, including no-till farming, sheep grazing, and cover cropping to protect soil health and biodiversity.
- In addition to competitive wages and benefits, we provide employees with 16 hours of paid volunteer time each year and reimburse them for park passes and athletic event registrations, encouraging outdoor adventure and community engagement.
- We donate $25,000 annually to American Forests to support forest restoration and bring Tree Equity to cities across North America.”
