ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Château de Marjolet

Brother and sister Sophie & Laurent Pontaud, along with their dog Syrah, sustainably farm their 5th generation family estate. It is located in Gaujac, just across the Rhône River from Chateauneuf du Pape. There are 60 Hectares there, the remaining 20 hectares being situated in Laudun. The average age of the vineyard is 40 years, and the grape varieties are of the highest quality: Grenache noir, Syrah and Cinsault for the rosé and red wines; Roussanne and Viognier for the whites. The soil is mostly pebbles.

Farming / vinification practices: the estate is sustainable and with the highest level of Haute Valeur Environmental: HVE 4.
