The Salazar family is one of the oldest families in Castilla La Mancha, dating back to the 1800’s. The Salazar estate (“Finca” in Spanish) is located in the town of Corral de Almaguer, in the province of Toledo. This area is quite well known for producing excellent Tempranillos. The soil is mainly clay and limestone and the vineyards are around 800 metres above sea level. The Salazar family owns several vineyards which vary in age; most of the vines are head pruned, which is traditional for the area. The unoaked wines produced emphasize crisp and lively fruit. They are versatile, crowd-pleasing and representative of the terroir.
