| Bodegas Angel Lorenzo Cachazo (Lindero) have been growing grapes and making wines since the 1920's. Today they control 42 hectares of vineyards which reside at an altitude of 2500 feet. This medium-sized winery produces about 25,000 cases annually. |

| Rueda Verdejo |
Lindero only makes about 1000 cases of its top wine, a 100% Verdejo. Every care is taken to create a pure, fresh, yet ripe wine starting with a harvest at night that avoids the potential spoiling effects of the hot, daytime sun. The grapes go through a cold maceration before a temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel.
The Verdejo grape has been grown in Rueda for many centuries. Its origins date back to the 11th century, to the times of king Alfonso VI, when the basin of the river Duero was repopulated with people from Cantabria, the Basque Country and the Muslim southern regions; it was very probably the latter, the so-called mozárabes, who brought the Verdejo variety from North Africa, after a period of adaptation in the south of Spain.
Verdejo has unique flavor characteristics, with a hint of scrub herbs, a fruity touch and an excellent level of acidity. Straw-yellow color with shiny greenish glints; clean and lively nose, with primary aromas suggestive of green and tropical fruits, citrus, apple and pineapple. A balanced palate with very good acidity and a smooth long finish. There is no other wine from Spain like it.
