| Finca Omblancas is a family owned winery located in the DO of Jumilla, in the Spanish region of Murcia. The traditional variety is Monastrell (which is the local version of Mourvedre). In addition to this primary variety, Finca Omblancas also has plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah.
The winemaker is Patrick Rabion, a Frenchman with experience working in Bordeaux, where he learned the art and science of blending. His wines have an ease and polish rarely found in wines from this region. |
| Demay Tinto |
Monastrell 50%, Syrah 30%, Cabernet 20%
This wine is made form a selection of the best grapes in Jumilla, picked at their optimum degree of ripeness, following a process of fermentation for 8 days at a controlled temperature. The result is a light to medium bodied wine of cherry-red color and puplish tones characteristic of its youth, with a markedly red berry fruit character. This is an easy drinking red to accompany roasted meat, barbecue, pastas and mild cheeses.
