Belpoggio > Marche > Italy
In the heart of the Marches, where the Esino river nourishes the fields and the Jesi Castles stand out, wine growing tradition is thousands of years old. Benedictine monks worked the lands to produce wine, corn and oil. Over the centuries patriarchal families intensified these crops and progressively obtained better results.

Today the Belpoggio Estates are the perfect combination between the virtues of the land, which is particularly suitable for vine cultivation due to its geological formation and its micro climate and the wealth of experience brought by the farmers, who have passed down the art of vine growing through the generations.

The Belpoggio Estates practice sustainable agriculture, paying the greatest attention to respecting the natural habitat.

Belpoggio - Verdicchio
100% Verdicchio

Hints of green apple, grapefruit, kiwi and elegantly floral notes of acacia and mimosa. Full-bodied with good balance and a lingering aftertaste of green apple and pleasantly bitter, fresh almonds.

Rosso Piceno
50% Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, 50% Sangiovese

Here on gravelly soils, at an altitude of some 1700 feet, this bright and forward red is made from a reasonably even mixture of montepulciano and sangiovese. Some 120 hectares were planted in the late eighties with the two varieties, that are harvested and fermented separately, then assembled before bottling.

No oak aging, all stainless-steel, the wine hits the palate refreshingly and is comparatively low in alcohol at %12.5.

Vibrant aromas of morello cherry and plum extend a welcome invitation into the pleasant body and firm structure of this standout.
