Related to the wine industry for over 200 years, the Pinuaga family has regained the cultural heritage and traditional ethnic values of Castilian winemaking. The wines boast a singular taste and style that are the synthesis of modernity and tradition.

This small winery, founded in 2004 and located amidst heirloom vineyards, strikes a delicate balance among the artisan care, innovation in winemaking, and the latest technology.

The vineyards and the winery are located in Corral de Almaguer, Toledo, a privileged site 720 meters above sea level, and surrounded by Mediterranean oak forests. The continental climate, with pronounced changes in day-and-evening temperatures, boosts the unique personality of our land and enhances the quality of the vines. It favors the growth of autochthonous grape varieties, allowing the production of varietally-expressive wines. Amongst these grape varieties, 20 hectares of Tempranillo and 15 hectares of Monastrell are grown, both with an average age of more than 30 years. 15 ha. of Merlot, the grape of the famous foreign wines, is also grown. The soils are mainly clay-limestone and all of our grapes are harvested at low yields of 3.500 kg/ha.

Nature 2007
100% Tempranillo.

This wine comes from 10 HA of 17 year old bush-planted vines. The clay-limestone vineyards are carefully managed using sustainable methods of agriculture.

The grapes are hand-harvested in September and then go through a selection process in the winery before undergoing a 2 day pre-fermentation maceration. In order to obtain the maximum fruit expression the wine is devatted before the alcoholic fermentation is completed. Only indigenous natural yeasts are used for fermentation. The wine is finished by 4 months in French and American oak, using 300 liter oak barrels, which are replaced every 3 years.

1666 cases produced.

Lively red-berry aromas of strawberries and raspberries. The barrel-aging gives the wine a silky texture and a nuttiness on the finish. Ideally suited to Mediterranean cuisine.

Tempranillo - Vino de la Tierra de Castilla
100% Tempranillo.

This is the domain's top wine, crafted from select, old-vines (at least 35 year old) vineyards of ungrafted (pie franco) vines.

The wine undergoes a 5 day maceration before fermentation begins. This wine has matured for 12 months in American and French oak barrels which are replaced every 3 years. The wine remains for another 18 months in the bottle before release.

2500 cases produced.

Deep ruby color, bright and attractive. Red fruit aromas dominate, well assembled with notes of violet and white pepper. The palate is full-bodied and very expressive with a long finish.
