| Founded in 1941, Bodegas Álvarez y Díez is one of the oldest wineries in Rueda. Since its inception, the winery has prided itself on its pioneering spirit, experimenting with its winemaking processes from the grapes and vines to developing systems to control temperature and fermentation. While the winery has developed significant mechanical improvements to make their wines better, they have refused to manipulate their wines chemically in any way, and focuses heavily on quality not quantity. Their 75 hectares of vineyards produce primarily white wines featuring Verdejo, Sauvignon Blanc, and Viura aged in both stainless steel, and oak. |

This wine is a 50/50 blend of Verdejo and Viura, which is a synonym for Macabeo, the primary white grape of Rioja.
Tasting Notes: A straw colored wine with aromas of flower blossoms, lavender, peaches, and summer fruit. This wine has great weight in the mouth with fresh fruit (apricot, peach & lemon) notes and a long refreshing finish. Great for entertaining, this Rueda makes a perfect aperitif or accompaniment to fish, shellfish, poultry and hard cheeses.
