Produced from native Greek vine varieties, Retsina derives its unique aroma and flavor from the addition of a small amount of pine resin to the wine. “Retsina" is the Greek name for a wine which has been flavored with sandarac, a resin obtained from the tree Calitris quadrivalvis which grows in the Aegean Islands.
