In 1990, Andreas Schmitges and wife Waltraud took over management of the Heinrich Schmitges estate. They have created their own style and introduced new methods and marketing incentives always making sure that the quality of their product, the wine, was impeccable. Meanwhile their endeavour has paid off and according to most wine critiques Schmitges domain is now range among the 50 top Mosel estates. Many awards here and abroad confirm that wines of outstanding quality are produced.
